I suspect the BRICS, being a group marriage of convenience, will be historically short lived. Once the common enemy is defeated, historic squabbles, like the one between China and India, and new quarrels will find their ways to the tops of most countries’ agendas. Even the WEF and it’s dream of One World Government isn’t going to vanquish the human mind’s drive towards tribalism and violence/force as it’s main problem solving tool.
Being scarce, gold helps limit the damage that nations/tribes can afford to do to one another.
