When economists refer to negative interest rates in this context, they are typically talking about negative real interest rates, which are calculated by subtracting the inflation rate from the nominal federal funds rate.
Before the Federal Reserve began raising rates on March 17, 2022, inflation had reached alarming levels, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) hitting 7.9% year-over-year in February 2022. This high inflation rate, combined with the near-zero federal funds rate (0.25% to 0.50% after the March 2022 hike), resulted in a significantly negative real interest rate, effectively around -7.4% at that time.
Shadow Stats and anyone with a brain shopping for gas, food, consumer goods knew real inflation was around 15% given US had printed more money in a 12 year period than it had for all its existence (over 70% of all money created out of thin air)
Remember we had Negative Real Interest Rates at -13% to -15% (the operative term is MINUS)
Also, remember that four presidents, their clown complicit cabinets, and Congress never commented on the issue of negative real interest rates, a situation where the inflation rate is higher than the nominal interest rate, shockingly reducing the value of money over time.
It's high time we acknowledge the truth: The Federal Reserve is the one calling the shots, pulling all the puppet strings, and operating far above the reach of our sycophant presidents and Complicit Congress. The Fed are like circus trainers, orchestrating a sick con in their big tent, and our government has little say in the matter.
The Reverse Stockholm syndrome situation is you will acquiesce to our coercion, but you are incentivized to transact on the Stock exchange (after classified briefings) and engage in illegal insider trading so you can convert your salary of around 200,000 into around $115 Million.
The percentage increase from $200,000 to 115,000,000 is 57,400%.
Living in a system of rigged Corporatism, we're often left feeling powerless. Our government, like a Rogue Beast, roams the world with over 450 military bases, unchecked and unchallenged. They club everyone to smithereens, all the while feeding us a narrative through the paid media that we're spreading 'democracy' to other countries. It's a situation that demands our vigilance and critical thinking.
Remember Word Choice Matters. It’s Usually the Opposite
The Federal Reserve's optimistic rhetoric about a "soft landing" and "transitory" inflation often contrasts sharply with economic realities. With the U.S. national debt surpassing $34 trillion and interest rates spiking, the likelihood of a "hard landing" increases significantly.
The Fed's attempts to paint a rosy picture may be aimed at maintaining market confidence, but the underlying economic fundamentals tell a different story.
Inflation has proven to be more persistent than initially claimed, with many indicators suggesting it could worsen.
The massive debt burden and rising interest rates create a perfect storm for economic instability. Furthermore, as other nations reduce their holdings of U.S. Treasuries, these bonds flooding back into the domestic market could exacerbate inflationary pressures.
The Fed's optimistic language about "soft landings" and "transitory" inflation appears increasingly disconnected from the economic challenges ahead, potentially setting unrealistic expectations for policymakers and the public alike
Ed Bernays: Father of Propaganda like “Soft Landing” “Transitory” or Operation Blue Sky when your Military Intent is to Bomb someone into Oblivion
Edward Bernays, the "father of public relations," was known for his influential campaigns that had far-reaching and sometimes controversial impacts, particularly in Latin America.
One of his most notable initiatives was the "Good Neighbor Policy" in Guatemala, which he developed while working for the United Fruit Company and the CIA.
The "Good Neighbor Policy" was ostensibly designed to improve relations between the United States and Latin American countries. However, in practice, it often served the interests of U.S. corporations and government agencies at the expense of local populations.
In Guatemala, Bernays' work for United Fruit Company helped maintain the company's monopoly on vast tracts of arable land, preventing much-needed land reform that could have alleviated poverty and hunger among the local population.
Bernays' strategy often involved creating seemingly benign organizations or "councils" with positive-sounding names to influence public opinion and policy.
These entities, while appearing to promote cooperation and development, frequently worked to protect U.S. business interests and maintain political control in the region.
The consequences of these campaigns were often detrimental to the people of Latin America. In countries like Honduras and Guatemala, the concentration of land ownership in the hands of U.S. companies led to widespread poverty, malnutrition, and social unrest.
The "Good Neighbor Policy" and similar initiatives effectively prioritized U.S. economic and political interests over the welfare of local populations, contributing to long-term instability and economic inequality in the region.
Bernays' work demonstrates how carefully crafted public relations campaigns can shape public opinion and policy, often masking less altruistic motives behind a veneer of goodwill and progress.
It didn’t start with Ed Bernays, The Fed, Reagan, Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden, Blinken, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Cheney, NY Times, WaPo, Fox, CNN, MSNBC, Murdoch, Silver Institute, etc (but Murder didn’t start with Jeffrey Dahmer, doesn’t make it right, right?)
Throughout history, propaganda campaigns have often been used by rulers and governments to manipulate public opinion and achieve political objectives. These campaigns sometimes had outcomes that were the opposite of their stated intentions, negatively impacting citizens. Here are five notable examples:
1. Nazi Germany's "Strength Through Joy" Program
The "Strength Through Joy" (Kraft durch Freude) program was introduced by the Nazi regime in Germany to promote leisure activities and improve the quality of life for workers. However, the real intent was to control and indoctrinate the population, ensuring loyalty to the regime. The program included activities like vacations and cultural events, but it was also a means to monitor and manipulate the populace, ultimately contributing to the regime's oppressive control over German society.
2. The Committee on Public Information (CPI) during World War I
The CPI, established by the Woodrow Wilson administration, aimed to garner support for the U.S. involvement in World War I. It used posters, films, and speeches to promote enlistment and war bond sales. However, the campaign also spread false stories about German atrocities, creating intense anti-German hysteria. This manipulation of public opinion led to widespread distrust in the government and media after the war, as citizens realized they had been deceived.
3. Soviet Union's "Potemkin Villages"
Under Catherine the Great, and later during the Soviet era, "Potemkin villages" were constructed to give the illusion of prosperity and success. These were essentially fake settlements built to impress foreign dignitaries and hide the true conditions of poverty and repression. The term has since become synonymous with deceptive appearances meant to mask undesirable realities, misleading both citizens and international observers.
4. U.S. Propaganda during World War II
World War II propaganda in the United States often depicted the Japanese as barbaric and sub-human, as seen in posters like "This is the Enemy." This dehumanization fueled racial hatred and justified the internment of Japanese Americans in camps under harsh conditions. The propaganda aimed to rally support for the war but resulted in severe civil rights violations and long-term negative impacts on Japanese American communities.
5. The U.S. War in Iraq - "Operation Iraqi Freedom"
The U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003 was branded as "Operation Iraqi Freedom," with the stated goal of liberating the Iraqi people from Saddam Hussein's dictatorship and eliminating weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). However, the failure to find WMDs and the ensuing chaos and violence led to widespread criticism that the operation had destabilized the region and caused significant suffering for Iraqi citizens. The campaign's name contrasted sharply with the resulting turmoil and loss of life. These examples illustrate how propaganda can be used to mask true intentions and manipulate public perception, often leading to outcomes that are detrimental to the very people it claims to benefit.
The Economy has never been stronger
We live in a swing state (Pittsburgh area) and the Democrats are digging in with “The Economy has never been stronger” When they do acknowledge inflation they don’t blame it on inflating the money supply or Government spending but “Gas Producers sticking it to us”
This is so laughable and such a monstrous campaign lie. Almost all oil and gas producers have enormous debt (because the spot oil price is too close or higher than the cost of exploration and drilling. We’ve seen this in Silver mining for past decade or more)
Now that Silver prices remain above 200 day moving average just under $26 we’re seeing Silver miners move forward even in days where Silver gets smashed.
Silver Academy endorses only 4 miners.
Notice their performance since we’ve been explaining what Leverage means.
Silver flat or down while our hand picked miners are way up.
Silver
$23 to $28.18 in 6 months
So, the percentage increase from $23 to $28.18 is approximately 22.52%
Our 4 clients are Kuya Silver up 63%, Outcrop Silver up 49%, Dolly Varden Silver up 57% and
we just signed up Andean Precious Metals who are up 11% in past monthSince APM hasn't been with us over 6 months we will average Kuya, Outcrop and Dolly Varden for an average of 56%
So you can see our miners are up 56% while Silver during this same time is up 22.52%
